Chattagram (once known as Chittagong) is Bangladesh’s largest seaport, and it occupies an area of 33771 square kilometers, divided across 11 districts and 38 towns. In terms of population, it is the second-largest town in Bangladesh.

The village of Aulias and the surrounding hills of Chattagram Division are well-known, as is their natural beauty and their proximity to the sea (means Muslim saints). How to go to Chittagong?

3. Sitakundo and Chandranath Temple

Chandranath Temple is another Chittagong tourist attraction. The Chandranath Hill site is convenient for those visiting the Sitakunda Eco Park.

Hinduism says Sita’s right arm landed here when she self-immolated. So it’s a “Shakti Peeth” and a pilgrimage location. The architectural and natural splendor of this temple has attracted many people.

Chandranath Hills is 4 miles from Sitakundo Bazar. From Sitakundo Bazar, walk or take a rickshaw to Chandranath Hills’ lower gate.

On the way to Chandranath Hills is a little waterfall. The path to the mountains went in two directions.

Chittagong to Sitakundo:

The fare from Chittagong to Sitakundo is BDT 250-300 by CNG or Autorickshaw Reserve.

Buses depart from Olongkar, A.K. Khan Mor, and Kadamtoli in Chittagong City. Local buses cost BDT 40-80 to Sitakundo.

 

 

4. Mohamaya Lake/মহামায়া লেক

Mohamaya is a lovely manmade lake in Mirsarai, Chittagong.This lake is located in Durgapur Union, Mirsarai, on 11 square kilometers in the hills.

The lake contains mountain caverns, a rambar dam, and a stunning indy waterfall.

9. Chittagong War Cemetery

The commonwealth war cemeteries commission maintains the world war cemetery, also known as Chittagong War Cemetery. The Chittagong War Cemetery is a revered burial ground for soldiers of the armed services who lost their lives during the second world war.

It was constructed by the Bangladesh Army, and there are 755 graves there. There were 378 British soldiers, 25 Canadian soldiers, 9 Australian soldiers, 2 New Zealand soldiers, 214 soldiers from undivided India, 11 from East Africa, 90 from West Africa, 2 from Burma (now Myanmar), 1 from the Netherlands, 19 from Japan, and 4 non-soldiers. Commonwealth Grave Commission is responsible for upkeep. Additionally, there is a World War II memorial in Chittagong-Mumbai (1939-1945).

 

10. The national ethnological museum

Agrabad, Chittagong is home to the national ethnological museum. It’s the country’s only ethnographic museum. It was primarily intended to enhance mutual understanding and peer-feeling among Bangladesh’s many ethnic groups.

The museum houses artifacts from Bangladesh’s indigenous communities. Chittagong houses one of the country’s ethnological museums, with the other being in Japan. It’s also utilized to do research. According to museum data from May 2015, the museum has 200-300 visitors each day, including both local and international researchers.

 

11.Battali hills park

Batali Hills, commonly known as Batali Hill, is the city of Chittagong’s highest hill, situated in the Tiger Pass area. The Bay of Bengal, as well as huge portions of Chittagong City, may be seen from this vantage point.

Guliakhali Sea Beach is in the Chittagong district’s Sitakundo Upazila. Locals call the beach Muradpur Beach. The distance between Sitakundo Bazar and Guliakhali Sea Beach is only 5 kilometers. This beach is unique since it has ocean on one side and a grove of trees on the other (Keora).

The immense wilderness of green grass near the water will undoubtedly open your eyes. This field of lush grass near the ocean has organically sprouted little curved drains.

During the tide, these drains fill up with water. The surrounding green grass and the water-filled scene in the little drains would impress anyone.

Because there are less people on this little-known beach, you can expect a tranquil atmosphere.

Sitakundo to Guliakhali

You can take a CNG/auto from the Sitakundo bus stand to Guliakhali Beach Dam. The CNG fee to Guliakhali beach dam is 30 taka per person, however an auto reserve would cost 150-200 taka.

 

13. Washil Chowdhury Para Mosque

17. Old Railway Station

Two railway stations are located in Chittagong. ” Among the two are two that are brand new, as well as one that is centuries old and was constructed by the British government. Station road is the name of the highway that runs parallel to the station. The “Golden Inn” hotel is just a short walk away from this old train station. Despite the fact that it’s not a popular tourist destination, the historic red structure of the train station can entice you to visit.

18. Khoiyachhora Waterfall

Size and structure make this the largest waterfall. Unique because of its 9 major steps and scattered steps. Gas lights a hill in Khoiyachhora even during the rains.

 

19. Karnafuli River and Zoom Restaurant

Chittagong’s Karnafuli River has several natural and man-made wonders. Zoom restaurant located along the Chittagong-Kaptai route and the Karnafuli River. BDR manages this restaurant. A picnic location. Rangamati students study there.

From there, you can see Karnafuli River. This river flows well, rainy or dry. Both sides of the river have little mountains with deciduous trees. During the dry season, most trees will be barren. Its beauty. No life, yet still enjoyable.

You can ride boats on the river. They’re expensive, but you have to pay for such beauty.
