We all know that Government or public Universities cannot meet the national demand of Bangladesh and that’s why for quality and constructive higher education the demand of growing Private University is a must. For maintaining quality and accountability of all private universities, the government of Bangladesh has made a University Commission and entrusted the University Grants Commission (UGC) which was was established on 16 December 1972, to supervise all universities.

On 20th August, 2018, University Grants Commission (UGC) warns against admission to 14 private universities and has alerted students not to take admission on these 14 blacklisted universities. Becuse these 14 blacklisted universities has a various problem regarding study environment like unapproved campuses, conflict in the Board of Trustees (BOT) rules. They have strongly decided not to give any permission to set up any branch or any campus and even study center in the country.
