Opex Sinha Group

The Opex and Sinha Textile Group is a composite textile-manufacturing facility that was constructed on an area of land comprising 43 acres in Kanchpur. Kanchpur is located around 20 kilometers away from Dhaka on the bank of the river Shitalakhya. There are approximately 55,000 people working for the company, and the majority of its factories are situated in Kanchpur-Rupgonj-Narayongonj, AEPZ, Mirpur, and other locations.

Establishment and capacity

Sinha Group has two apparel businesses, Medlar Group and Opex Group. Anisur Rahman Sinha is Sinha Group’s chairman. Sinha Textile Group, Opex’s vertical setup, was founded in 1995. One of South Asia’s largest complexes produces high-quality yarn, gray fabrics, coloured fabrics, printed fabrics, and knit fabrics. With a lead time of 60–75 days, Opex and Sinha’s RMG division can produce 6 million dozen RMG units each year. Opex’s major products are shirts, pants, shorts, short-alls, jumpers, overalls, jackets, vests, sportswear, sleepwear, ladies’ dresses, T-shirts, and fleece items made from imported textiles.

However, Opex has approximately 18000 sewing machines distributed to 300 production lines, including 44 Knit garment production lines and specialist Jacquard Sweater Production Units. Daily production exceeds 220,000 garments. Opex’s in-house Dry and Wet processing devices include Hand Sanding, Brushing, Chemical Spraying, Laser Blasting, Flexi, Crash machine, and post-cure wrinkle-free processing. Opex offers the nation’s most advanced denim washing facility. Denim wash capacity is 100,000–120,000 pieces per day.

Exported Products:

Opex now has capabilities for spinning yarn, weaving cloth, knitting cloth, dyeing yarn, dying fabrics, printing, and finishing fabrics with special effects. Additionally, Opex manufactures its own buttons, labels, sewing thread, elastic, twill tape, cartons, and poly bags. In addition, they operate an embroidery and screen-printing shop on the premises. When it comes to ready-made clothes, this sector of the Bangladeshi economy is among the country’s top exporters. Supplying both domestic and global markets with high-quality goods. The European Union (EU), the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), and Canada are its primary export markets.
