How to arrive in Barishal
Bus from Dhaka to Barisal
The journey from Dhaka to Barisal takes between 4 to 5 hours. Buses to Barisal regularly leave from the Gabtoli bus terminal in Dhaka between 6 am and 10 pm.
To go to Barisal, all buses pass through Padma bridge. Buses headed for Dhaka stopped at the Barisal municipal bus station, Natullahbad.
The bus companies that run between Dhaka and Barisal include Hanif Transport (01713-049559), Eagle Transport (02-9006700), and Shakura Transport (01729-556677).
Launch from Dhaka to Barisal
Between 8 and 9 p.m., the Sundarbans 7/8, Surabhi 8, Parbat 11, and Kirtankhola 1/2 launches leave from Sadarghat in Dhaka and head for Barisal. Additionally, you can go to the Greenline launch if you want to leave early in the morning.
The night launches arrive in Barisal at five in the morning. For these launches, the cost of a deck is Tk 300, a double cabin is Tk 2000, and a VIP cabin is Tk 4000.
