Even though it is situated in a part of Dhanmondi and Gulshan that isn’t particularly desirable, the restaurant Garlic n Ginger is still rather unheard of, despite the fact that it offers a wonderful buffet with more than a hundred different kinds of food to select from. The buffet at this restaurant provides sushi and salads, very much like the one at the Le Meridian, but the nihari is what sets this establishment apart from the others in a meaningful way.
The crispiness of the luchis is a wonderful complement to the savory sauce, which works wonderfully together.
At some buffets, you have to pay an additional cost for water because it isn’t provided, but at this one, you get a bottle of water and a soft drink of your choice together with your meal. On the other hand, the heat level of the Chinese meals was intolerable, and the desserts, particularly those made with milk like shahi tukra, reeked and tasted as though they were going to go bad. This put a damper on what, in any other circumstances, would have been a fantastic spread.
The buffet here is an amazing value for the price of Tk 1,200; we cannot help but suggest it to you with all of our hearts because of the vast menu and, of course, the nihari. And who knows, perhaps the Chinese goods and sweets will end up bringing you some good fortune after all!
